About Us

GMC is a privately held enterprise owned by a number of founders who are the well-known businesspersons in the sector of wood processing industry in Vietnam.

The company headquarters is located in the heart of the industrial parks in Thuan An District, Binh Duong Province (which is 23km from Ho Chi Minh City, and 7km from Thu Dau Mot City). Currently, it has two factories with more than 400 workers, generated annual revenues ranging from 5 to 10 million USD, and proudly ranked 39th in the Fast500[1] in 2012.

  • Primary processing of wood; Sawing wood; Processing and preservation of wood and wooden furniture products; Production of plywood; Manufacture of other wooden products.
  • Civil construction; Housing construction; Construction engineering works; Industrial Construction; Installation of wooden furniture in construction.
  • Buying and selling beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs; Purchase and sale of timbers; Trading in industrial plant equipment, mining, forestry, and construction.
  • Buying and selling rubber latex.

History

In 2006, a number of investors with well-established business in the sector of wood processing came to an idea to create a new venture named Giang Minh Co., Ltd. (GMC)[2] to make a difference in the Vietnamese wooden furniture industry.

Established in 2006, GMC constructed 3 platforms (raw material processing, furniture processing, furnishing and packaging factories) and equipped with modern automatic machines while enrolling best workers and engineers.

In 2008, it changed its way to becoming a small giant in the industry as the new Board of Management team has improved its management efficiency and production capacity and quality while closely cooperating with new customers to make it a stronger wood processing competitor in the industry.

State of the business

Currently, GMC has produced and exported acacia and oak wooden furniture to the EU, UK, US and Australian markets. The US and UK are the new markets for GMC in recent years with rising orders from American and British high-end furniture retailers. With our expertise in processing acacia and oak wood, focus on high-quality products, on-time delivery, and our best furniture design team, GMC has made a reputation in its major export markets. GMC’s Board of Management is committed to making long-term and sustainable cooperation with our partners. We focus on the power of employees accompanying with modern machinery and process to ensure meeting the growing demand for high-quality products in the years to come.

Since 2016, the company has made a greater effort in streamlining organizing, enhancing management, and reducing production costs to sharpen our competitive advantage power while boosting exports to the US and UK markets.


 

[1]Vietnam’s fastest growing enterprises (FAST500) was officially released on March 30, 2011, by VietNamNet and Vietnam Report which access and rake 200,000 enterprises within 3 years (2008-2009-2010) in Vietnam.

[2] GMC had registered capital of 500,000 USD in 2006 and was raised every year to 01 million USD by 2010.
